Super Heroes

Lately, Haley and I have been on this super hero kick. A couple weeks ago we watched all three X-Men, and then on Friday we watched Thor. And now we just finished Iron Man and we're on to Iron Man 2. Too bad there aren't real super heroes with crazy powers. That would be neat.

I'm totally not looking forward to writing my research paper that I put off until the last day. Although I have an idea, I still need to make it look good and concrete the topics. Wish me luck.

I also have an anatomy test on Tuesday.... FML

Mr. Smiley Face

I woke up to a wonderful surprise this morning for breakfast! My awesome wife made me my favorite meal. Rice, eggs, and bacon. Needless to say I devoured the whole plate in seconds. This is how I've gained 10 pounds since I've been married. We really need to go back to the gym. Even though I HATE running I know I need to get back into it. It takes 3 weeks of running everyday to get over the hump. Hopefully I can dedicate that.... I hope my wife makes me something else amazing for breakfast tomm or cereal it is. Frowny face

Screwed

Yes, that's write i Am so Scroooweedd.

Anatomy lab quiz tomm. Anatomy lecture quiz Tuesday. M comm stuff due Tuesday. Anatomy test this weekend. M comm research paper due next week.

I think it's safe to say FML. But I have a whole case of monsters and I know I'll do alright.

I wish the Jetta wasn't giving me issues right now. I just found out the water pump was broken. It could have come at a more convenient time while I wasn't slammed with so much school.

Note to self never take Spring/Summer classes again... EVER!

Bocce Ball

I had never heard of this amazing grass sport until a couple weeks ago. But since throwing my first Bocce ball, I can say I'm addicted.

There are two teams with two players each. Each player has two balls. There is a white ball called the nut which each team takes turns to throw as close or as far as they wish.

The object of the game is to toss the ball as close to the white nut as possible. Each team alternates who throws the ball. Once the first player has tossed the ball, a player from the other team has to tossed the ball closer to the nut than the first player. Who's ever ball is FARTHER from the nut, that team continues to throw until one of their ball's are closer. Once and if they get a ball closer the other team then throws and this continues until all the balls are tossed.

Points are scored by first taking the ball that's closest to the nut and then adding all the balls who's team the closest ball belongs that are closer than the closest opposing team's ball.

The first team to get to 10 points wins!

Today our friend's Duke and Lizzi came over for dinner (Thai curry) and then off we went to the nearby park to play.

We battled back and forth but Duke and Lizzi won the first round.

The second round we settled the score and won.

I highly suggest you play at least once in your life time.

Piper

Piper is our miniture pinscher puppy.

She is a monster.

Yes she is but she's our little monster.

If she wasn't so cute we'd toss her but she's the cutest dog alive.

She doesn't chew things up; she just don't listen to us.

We're probably going to have to get her trained soon before she hits the "adolescent stage."

She's getting pretty good at pottying though.

Piper sometimes lets out farts so bad we have to leave the room.

Piper is really stubborn.

Piper is our dog for keeps.

Crazy Week

So this week was pretty crazy...

I had 2 anatomy quizzes and an anatomy test. I of course aced all of them :)

I also installed a new window regulator for the jetta to only find the next day that it stopped working! So now I have my window up with tape... ya it's really ghetto but it'll have to do until I get the replacement hopefully early this week.

The weather here in Provo is sooo spastic, seriously one day it's all sunny and the next rain and then sunny again...rediculous

Haley and I had dinner with some friends of ours on Friday and played a nice little round of croquet. We need to invest in a set along with bocce ball

Friday marked the beginning of summer for us. Sunny all day called for bike rides and snow cones you can't really beat that combo!

Hopefully there are more of those kinds of days to come

Two Servings in One Day

Looks like I'm spoiling you guys with so many tidbits into my life!

First, shout out to my madre for putting up and raising me all these years and still looking out for me...

and second to every other women who has had a hand in my life raising me as well. I wouldn't have been half the person I am without all your love and support!

Second, I've decided I should start adding pictures. My blog is kind of boring.

Third, what's your excuse now Kobe? So happy that the Mavs swept the Lakers 4-0 and sends them packing. That makes my weekend.

Fourth is in case you were wondering, the fast and the furious series isn't in chronological order. It's 1,2,4,5, then Tokyo Drift.

Also my wife kindly (ya...) reminded me that she also deserves a very loud shout out for also taking care of me and will be the mother of my children in the future (very very far away future).

Burnt

1st degree burn = death of epidermis layer
2nd degree burn = death of epidermis and some of the dermis layer
3rd degree burn = bye bye to all skin

Friday was a great day for the jetta. Not only did it get its control arm fixed (which by the way now makes it ride like a champ) but it also got washed and polished.

While I was washing/polishing I didn't notice my shoulders were burnt until Haley pointed out to me that I looked a little pink...which progressively turned to red...and now hurts like hell.

Last Friday my wife took me to watch Fast Five which inspired us to have a fast and furious marathon to watch the first four. We decided that the best time to start watching them was of course at 12 am when we had class early the next morning. And they said, "Nothing good happens after 12 a.m.." I say HA to that! That was the best thing that we've done all week!

We just finished watching Tokyo Drift last night (the third in the series) and now we're on to the fourth.

This only inspires me to further deck out the jetta

Weater

I don't understand why Provo can't just seem to just stay sunny. It's like she (yes Provo is a girl) just likes messing with us. It's probably that time of the month again (period). Hopefully it'll be over in a couple of days.

Well Haley took me to watch Fast 5 on Friday. Not as much racing as I would hoped more shooting and ridiculousness but common that's what Americans love right?

I wasn't able to change the oil on our cars this weekend due to the unforeseen blizzard in APRIL... but I was able to change all my interior lights in the Jetta to LED's booyah.

Anatomy is a lot more fun that I thought it would be. I already have the skull and vertebrae bones all memorized just in time for our quiz tomm and then more studying for our quiz on wednesday and then MORE studying for lecture quiz at the end of the week. awesome

So a quick shout out to my little broski Enoch who's turned 16 today. We'll see how long it takes for him to get his license and start driving haha

It's actually sunny outside today so I'm going to try to take advantage of Provo's now happy behavior.
